Whether you’re renovating or just starting to construct a new building, proper insulation can help prevent drafty homes, icicles, and frozen pipes from occurring. We customize our insulation services to fit any architectural structure; new or old, no matter what era it may have been built. During an initial evaluation, we check for preventable air leaks in attic insulation, basement insulation, crawlspace insulation, ceiling insulation, floor insulation, wall insulation and roof insulation. Afterward, we help you select a more energy efficient insulation type and quickly install it for you.
residential insulation choices
Spray Foam Insulation
Open cell and closed cell spray foam insulation will help to permanently insulate and air seal your home for as long as the it is standing. The material is great for reducing noise given it’s excellent soundproofing capabilities. Our certified spray foam installers use closed or open cell spray foam to fill all spaces, providing you with complete, thermal, and air sealing. Read more about our Spray Foam Insulation HERE
Blown-In Cellulose Insulation
Cellulose insulation is great for the environment because it is made up of 80% recycled newspaper, and although it is made of paper, a fire retardant coating is applied to reduce flammability. It is an excellent soundproofing and thermal insulation. The higher density of cellulose insulation makes for an air tight seal, second only to spray foam insulation.
Blown-In Insulation and Batt Fiberglass
Made primarily of very fine glass fibers, blown fiberglass insulation and batt fiberglass is one of the most commonly used products in the industry. Comprised of small glass bundles, it is a lightweight and effective means of limiting both thermal changes and sound transmission.
indicators of poor home insulation
Unsure if your home is efficiently insulated? If you can relate to any of the problems listed below, you may need to improve or replace current insulation.
drafty rooms
Are your walls cold? That’s an indicator your house is improperly insulated and heat is leaking out of wall insulation.
Icicles
Often overlooked, ice build up on your roof or gutters is most commonly due to excessive heat loss through the roof system, which can be remedied by updating roof insulation.
high energy bills
Your heat or air conditioning is escaping somewhere in your house– possibly through walls, ceilings, or even crawlspace insulation– and hiking up your energy costs.
frozen pipes
This indicates poorly insulated walls, crawlspaces, and floors, and can be very costly when pipes burst.
test your energy efficiency and home insulation
Make sure your home is energy efficient and cut down energy costs by getting a home energy audit from our insulation company. As skilled residential insulation contractors, we evaluate your home’s energy consumption, thoroughly checking common heat loss areas like walls, floors, and crawl spaces. Infrared scans and thermal equipment are used to thoroughly check existing insulation in walls, floors, and ceilings to pinpoint exact areas where cold and heat are escaping.
